In today’s hyper-connected, super fast world, it can seem like there aren’t enough hours in the day to achieve our business and financial goals. And if there are, it’s because we’re sacrificing personal and family time. This doesn’t have to be the case. By using mindfulness practices and sticking to a strict schedule, you can put time management to work for you and increase your income.
Figure Out What You’re Doing and Why
Until you have your whole day mapped out in front of you, you won’t have a good idea of what you need to streamline and improve. You can fix this by listing out your daily activities, along with what your purpose is for doing them. Are you checking Facebook over and over again throughout the day? See if you can schedule out specific times throughout the day to check instead. That way, you’ll be able to get more done while using social media time as a reward for hard work.
Assigning Roles
We all have many roles to play: employer/employee, family member, friend, and individual. While you’re listing out your daily activities, check which role you’re playing for each one. If the balance is off for any of them, try to adjust your schedule to regain that balance. You’ll be happier, healthier, and more successful.
Take these tips and feel free to add on some of your own as you see fit. By listing, scheduling, and prioritizing, you’ll be able to save time and save money.
